To celebrate the New York Knicks’ run to the NBA Finals, Nike commissioned Game Seven Agency to create an iconic New York City moment that would bring energy, culture, and fandom together while spotlighting a limited collection of T-shirts designed by artist and designer Grotesk.
Rather than create a traditional retail pop-up, we developed the “Park n Shop”, a fully customized ice cream truck transformed into a mobile merch destination. The truck was hand-painted and distressed by acclaimed artist Danny Cortes, whose signature miniature New York City style brought an authentic, lived-in quality to the build. The result was a nostalgic street-level experience that felt instantly recognizable, deeply local, and true to the spirit of the city.
To amplify the concept, we parked the truck inside the Park n Lock parking garage directly across from Madison Square Garden, placing the activation at the center of Knicks playoff energy. Over the course of three days, fans could visit the pop-up and purchase $45 T-shirts from Grotesk’s exclusive Nike x Knicks collection.
